Friends of Portage Collaborative Montessori School

The Friends of Portage Collaborative Montessori School parent teacher organization supports the school, teachers, staff and students of PCMS. In addition to our annual fundraisers - the Moving 4 Montessori walk-a-thon and the spring silent auction - the Friends organize events and activities throughout the school year, such as Back-to-School night, skate parties, family events and more. 

The Friends of PCMS welcomes parent volunteers to the help with various activities and committees!
The annual spring auction, our primary fundraiser, requires the help of many volunteers. Areas where help is always needed include:

• Auction item donation requests, follow up and pick up
• Classroom projects and baskets
• Basket assembly 
• Auction day set up and logistics

Other activities organized by the Friends and dependent upon parent volunteers include: ​

• Grounds beautification - care and cleanup of outdoor plants and flowerbeds
• Restaurant fundraisers - organizing "dine to donate" restaurant fundraisers 
• Box Tops 4 Education - management and promotion of Box Tops 4 Education program
• Teacher appreciation gifts - coordination of annual gifts during Teacher Appreciation Week for our wonderful PCMS teachers

The Friends of PCMS meet in person at the school and via Google Meet.
